How to set up the global illumination in VRay
For creating a good and fast global illumination in VRay you only must follow
next easy steps:
1.- Create a simple scene. In this specific case we have done a plane with a teapot on it.

2.- Apply to both objects two simple materials. I have used the standard
material for the plane and a brighter and 2-sides one for the teapot.

3.- Go to the "Render Scene" menu (F10) and select the VRay render engine as the
Production renderer in "Current Renderers".

4.- Go down, and in the "Global Switches" options check out the "Default
lights" checkbox.

5.- Below we find the "Image Sampler (Antialiasing)" submenu.
There select the "Adaptive Subdivision" as edge smoothing method.
Check the "Rand" checkbox for a noise effect in the edges.

6.- In the "Indirect
Illumination (GI)" panel change the remarked in yellow parameters as in the
image.

7.- In this moment we only need to activate the global light.
We can do this in the "Environment" submenu. Set the multiplier up to 1,5
and...

8.- ... we can render the scene. That's it!. With this
configuration we don't get the best quality but a really good render time.
Besides, the relation time-quality is real good. In my P4 1,7Ghz it spends 8
only seconds.
